A partnership built on purpose
This collection brings together two shared passions: Wildheart’s commitment to animal rescue and Teemill’s pioneering approach to sustainable fashion. The result is something we’re incredibly proud of, clothing that not only looks good, but does good too!
Each design tells part of our story, whether it’s celebrating our 50th anniversary or highlighting the journeys of our rescued bears, Benji and Balu. Every purchase helps fund our vital conservation work, supporting the animals in our care and those we’re working to protect.
All items are made from 100% organic cotton and printed right here on the Isle of Wight. Teemill, founded by Rapanui, shares our values, making them the perfect partner for this exciting new venture. Teemill itself began as Rapanui in Sandown, creating an even closer connection to the Sanctuary and the Island community.
Rethinking fashion for the future
The fashion industry has a significant impact on our planet, contributing to global emissions, plastic pollution and enormous amounts of waste. Knowing this, we wanted to ensure this collection was part of a better way forward.
Teemill’s approach is different. Instead of mass-producing clothing that may never be worn, each item is printed in real time, only when it’s ordered. This reduces waste and ensures resources are used responsibly. Their entire system is designed to be circular, meaning that when your clothing reaches the end of its life, it can be returned and remade into something new.
Why organic cotton?
The cotton used in this collection is grown with care for both people and the environment. Organic farming avoids harmful chemicals, instead relying on natural processes that support biodiversity and healthier soil.
This approach not only benefits the ecosystems where the cotton is grown, but also creates fabrics that feel incredibly soft and comfortable to wear.
Designed for a lower impact future
Every part of this collection has been created with sustainability in mind, from how it’s made to what happens at the end of its life. By using clean processes, renewable energy and a circular design approach, Teemill significantly reduces waste, pollution and emissions compared to traditional clothing production. Instead of contributing to landfill, each item is designed to be remade when it’s worn out, helping to keep materials in use for longer and supporting a more responsible future for fashion.
