Wildheart Holiday Club has transformed!

Do you love having fun and learning about animals? Look no further than our Holiday Activities & Food Holiday Club here at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary!

Our sessions include:

  • A healthy snack and lunch provided
  • Enrichment making for the animals
  • Chance to learn all about animal and habitats
  • Animal themed craft activities
  • And much much more!

Aimed at children of 11-16 years

  • FREE for those in receipt of benefits-related free school meals*
  • £35 per child per session for those who are not eligible for free funding

*The HAF programme funding is primarily for school aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits-related free school meals (FSM).

Benefits-related FSMs are available to pupils if their parents are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits and have a claim verified by their school or local authority.

Other eligible groups:

  • Children with Education, Health and Care Plans
  • Children and young people known to social care
  • Children of recognised refugees with no recourse to public funds
  • Other children with SEND (special educational needs or disabilities)

  • Support can also be accessed on 01983 823134.
  • Citizens Advice Isle of Wight can help with debt, benefits, legal advice and much more, their advice is free, confidential, and independent.
  • They can be contacted on 0800 144 88 48 or enquiries@iwcab.org.uk.
  • The Footprint Trust can offer free advice and can be contacted on 01983 822282.
  • The government Help for Households website has information about help with childcare costs, benefits and many other schemes.

Community Pantries and Larders

Families can join a community pantry or larder for £5 a week and receive over £15 worth of food. Membership is free and anyone can join. Contact details for the island pantries and larders are below:

Warm Spaces

There’s a great network of Warm Welcome Spaces across the Island. These friendly spaces are run by the community for the community. In a Warm Welcome Space families might find support and advice, tea and coffee, other refreshments, games, crafts and they’ll always find a friendly face and someone to chat to.
