Looking for a wild and wonderful way to spend some time this Easter Holiday? Look no further than the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary’s Easter Madagascar Madness celebration as we explore the native home of our five species of Madagascan lemur!

Embark on an adventure through the Sanctuary with our interactive activity trail. Get your creative juices flowing with Easter Egg rock painting, perfect for all ages. Walk through our incredible primate domes with our expert guides on hand and learn all about lemur conservation at our evening talk. Don’t forget to get in character with Madagascar face painting and join our Easter Egg hunts! With so much to explore and enjoy, the Sanctuary is the place to be this Easter holiday!

Madagascar Madness Animal Talk Schedule

Don’t miss out on our Animal Talks! Our walk-through Primate Dome is also open every day throughout the Easter Holiday, where you can walk through our dome and get up close to our lemurs.

Our lemur dome is open from 10:30am – 3:30pm every day.

Easter Activity Trail*

Winding its way around the Sanctuary, follow our Easter Activity Trail to discover amazing facts about Madagascar and its flora and fauna, whilst helping Lucy the Lemur to find her missing eggs. Unscramble the letters on the missing eggs to receive an Easter treat!

Arts and Crafts

Get your creative juices flowing with some fun Easter Egg rock painting, Malagasy activity sheets and springtime craft – perfect for all ages!

Face Painting

Get in the Madagascan spirit with some fun face painting*.

Egg Hunts

And don’t forget on Easter Sunday our traditional Easter Egg “rock” hunts will be taking place at 11:00 and 14:00.

Conservation Talk – Friday 5th April

Join us for an evening conservation dinner talk, on Friday 5th April at 6pm, as our special guest, Dr Karen Freeman, Executive Director of MFG (Madagascar Fauna and Flora Group) comes to talk to us about ‘Saving Madagascar’s Lemurs: A Conservation Journey.

Wildheart Café

Enjoy some tasty treats from our plant-based Wildheart Café with fabulous views out over Sandown Bay. Open 10-5pm serving tea, coffee, cakes, and a Malagasy inspired lunch menu.

Lemur Adoptions

And don’t forget, you can adopt one of our incredible lemurs online and help us to give them the chance to live a life they truly deserve. Adoptions start at just £20/annum.

Parking charge for Sanctuary visitors is £3 – please see the boards in our car park.

Registered carers go free, proof of registered carer status needed.
Children under 3 years go free.
