Tigers not only stir our human emotions from security to fear, to wonder and envy but have formed an integral part of our history here at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary since our first arrival ‘Shere Khan’ came to us in the late 1970s. Raising awareness about their endangerment and conversation is one of our key objectives here at The Wildheart Trust. So why not join us on to celebrate International Day of the TIGER on Friday 29th of July 10am – 5pm.
Discover more about our current rescued Tiger’s Natasha & Zoppa, and learn more about our plans for new arrivals later this year. Our tigresses are a delight to watch whether they are playing together, cooling off in their pool or taking a snooze in their forever home.
We also are giving you the unique opportunity to explore the recently developed habitat which will provide a fantastic home for 2 tigers that we hope will be arriving in Autumn, more about them later but in short they were rescued from being sold off as body parts!
Really Wild Faces by Gina Steliana will be here for the day and for a nominal extra charge you will be able to have your very own tiger face. All proceeds made from this and other activities on the day will be donated to our conservation partner in India, Wild-Cat-C who work in situ to educate local people on the importance of tigers and undertake initiatives to help humans and tigers live in harmony.
There will also be the opportunity to make your own tiger mask, make a wish for tigers on our wishing tree, and take part in our tombola, raffle. There is so much to see and do, and by joining us on this very special day you can really make a difference to conservation efforts in the wild!, .Thanks to Lake Cleaning Supplies for sponsoring our day here at the sanctuary!
