Our Christmas Lectures Series…
We have two fascinating lectures for you to enjoy at The Sanctuary this Christmas.
Steve Egerton-Read, White Tailed Eagles. Friday December 3rd
Steve Egerton-Read, project officer for the White Tailed Eagle release here on the Isle of Wight, will be delivering the latest updates and reviewing the project from the initial Eagle release in 2019 to date. This has been a remarkably successful and well executed project thus far and has yielded some amazing results. Tickets are £7.50 but free to members although all proceeds and donations on the night will be going to the Roy Dennis Wildlife Foundation.
A Wartime Christmas at the Granite Fort, Tim Wander. Monday December 13th
Our favourite historian, author and broadcaster Tim Wander will be giving an illustrated talk telling the stories of soldiers at Christmas in Sandown in our historic fort. We’ll also be saying thank you to Vectis 40s Vintage for the wonderful Roaring Forties weekend they put on here recently – so there will be plenty of people dressed in their best 1940s attire, why not join them? This free event is exclusively for Wildheart Members and volunteers from Vectis 40s Vintage.
All our lectures begin at 18:30 with doors open at 18:00. Entry is free to members but booking is essential, click here.
