Is there anybody there?
That is exactly what we intend to discover on a series of terrifying, interactive ghost walks around our home, Sandown’s Old Granite Fort taking place over the Halloween weekend.
Led by an expert team from Restless Isle, you’ll be using professional ghost hunting equipment as we navigate the grounds of our Victorian Sanctuary listening for faded whispers from the past and peering into the darkness to glimpse tortured souls from decades gone by.
The fort dates back to 1864 when Lord Palmerston built a granite stronghold to defend our shimmering island from French invasion…as day turns to night, Restless Isle will be guiding you around the grounds and unearthing the sinister stories and hidden secrets that have remained locked away behind the fortress walls.
Until now…
You’ll be touring the old gun chambers where the bats swoop nightly, visiting Khana Cave, braving Black Leaf Walk beneath the old fort walls and for the bravest of souls….descending underground into the Old Caponier, once the last line of defence where only the most fearless soldiers were chosen to defend the walls.
Taking place on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th October, tours leave at 7pm, 7.45pm, 8.30pm and 9.15pm. Places are strictly limited to ensure the optimum chance of communicating with the souls from the other side so click here and book your ticket now.
In our sanctuary we believe that it isn’t only the animals who stir at night.
Is there anybody there? You’ll have to find out for yourself…
