Animal Carer - Full Time


The Wildheart Trust is a young charity currently in a period of exciting change. We have big goals for the future, and some incredible ground-breaking projects underway. A vacancy has arisen within our Wildheart Animal Sanctuary animal care team, which will provide someone with a rare opportunity to join us during this time.

We are looking for one full time Animal Carer to join our team early in the new year. This is a permanent position (subject to a probationary period) working a 5-day week. A varied interest in primates, carnivores, small mammals, and reptiles is essential. Previous experience preferred but will consider recently qualified applicants.

Animal Carers are responsible for maintaining high standards of husbandry and care for the animals assigned to them. They are expected to follow set husbandry standards and be involved in all aspects of care for the animals including enrichment, training, weighing of the animals along with their normal welfare duties. Excellent communication skills are required in order to contribute towards our education and experience programmes. A full job description is available here.

A current driving license will be an advantage.

Marketing and Events Coordinator

A vacancy has arisen within our Wildheart Animal Sanctuary marketing team, based on the Isle of Wight, which will provide someone with a rare opportunity to join us during this exciting time.

We are looking for an energetic and creative individual to help drive forward our events programme and promotional outreach activities. The role will support the work of the Trust through raising awareness, driving engagement with the public and increasing support for its activities. The successful candidate will work within the broader marketing and communications team to give support and help with wider marketing activities, promotional work and administration duties. A current driving license will be an advantage.
