Head Chef


An exciting opportunity for an experienced, confident and hands-on café Head Chef . You will work in partnership with staff across the organisation to ensure a quality catering offer from our Wildheart Café and outside kiosks. Helping to ensure the smooth running of our visitor attraction.

The Wildheart Trust operates out of the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary and is an exciting and vibrant new charity that supports communities, provides sanctuary for rescued animals and delivers conservation projects both at home and abroad. The successful applicant will be integral to enhancing our visitor’s day out by preparing and serving meals and refreshments across the zoos catering outlets that meet the highest possible standards of presentation, quality and service. Working to agreed budgets, you will find ways to maximise sales growth and profit potential which in turn will aid the charity to further its aims in community support and wildlife conservation.

This is a permanent front-line role and does include working regular weekends and Bank Holiday’s.

Retail and Admissions Manager


A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manager with a proven track record in growing sales and delivering targets.

The person in this role will support the mission of the Trust by providing a shopping experience that encourages awareness and positive change. They will be instrumental in stocking and developing the recently re-designed sanctuary shop into a centre for unique and valued products that are responsibly sourced whilst ensuring the messaging and shopping experience supports these goals.

We are looking for someone who will improve the efficiency and profitability of the Retail and Admissions operation at the Wildheart Animal sanctuary and ensure that all costs are tightly managed in line with budget.

This position is hand-on, leading by example and ensuring the visitor welcome and first point of contact is a warm and engaging one.

You will drive charitable income, such as gift aid, to ensure revenue opportunities are maximised and manage the various retail schemes including animal adoptions, animal experiences and memberships.

This is a permanent year-round front-line role that includes weekends and bank holidays. An immediate start is available to the right candidate.

WE ARE HIRING - Seasonal Front of House Staff


We are recruiting for both seasonal and year-round staff with both full-time and part-time hours available. If you are enthusiastic, reliable, friendly, and conscientious with great customer service skills then we need you!

Our Front of House staff work in both our café and retail/admissions area, providing our visitors with a first-class experience, a warm welcome and great food and drink. Applicants must be 16 or over and be able to work both weekdays and weekends.

Cafe Supervisor


We are looking for a reliable conscientious Café Supervisor to ensure an exemplary visitor experience in our Wildheart Café. An immediate start would be preferable.

As our café supervisor you will be instrumental in managing the efficiency and experience in the Wildheart Café, ensuring visitors have a faultless service and operations run smoothly. In these extraordinary times, you will also have what it takes to adapt to the quick pace of changeable COVID-19 requirements in a sometimes-high pressure environment.

We require someone with exceptional customer service skills, experience in supervising a team and a working knowledge of food hygiene standards. This is a hands-on role and as part of a small team you will be a multi tasker.

Every role within the zoo supports this whether it is through sustainable procurement in our café and retail outlet or teaching our visitors actions they can take to help conserve the planet.
