Where can we eat lunch?
We have a number of different picnic areas including a large undercover seating area. In poor weather schools may also use the PLUTO room.
All rubbish from packed lunches must be disposed of by the group.
What happens if it rains?
We are an all-weather attraction and unless we close the Sanctuary due to high winds we can always continue with visits. There are a number of different sheltered areas across site that we can use to still see a large majority of the animals. We also encourage all groups to visit wearing weather appropriate clothing.
Can we visit before booking?
Yes! We offer free RECCE visits to teachers and group leaders looking to book a trip.
Do you provide risk assessments?
Yes, when we email you to send you the booking form for your visit we will also send the appropriate risk assessment. You can also find a QR code link to our current risk assessment for school visits in the Educator’s Guide.
Can you accommodate SEND requirements?
We have a section on our booking form dedicated to capturing information about how we can tailor your visit to mee your groups needs.
